At HiPP, organic stands for clearly defined quality standards.
HiPP has over 125 years of experience in the production of baby food. This expertise, built up over the long term, is applied to the selection of raw materials, processing, and quality assurance. As a family-run company, HiPP remains closely tied to this responsibility to this day. Stefan Hipp personally guarantees compliance with our quality principles with his name—a commitment rooted in the company’s family tradition.
Our products comply with the requirements of the EU Organic Regulation (EU) 2018/848, which, among other things, regulates the use of synthetic plant protection products and sets standards for organic farming.
However, beyond cultivation, the regulation does not govern the further condition of organic goods. Contaminants from the air, soil, or neighboring areas can affect fruit, vegetables, or grains.
The legal provisions of Regulation (EU) No. 609/2013 permit minimal levels of residues. We test our raw materials within the framework of an internal quality management system based on multi-stage analytical procedures and modern testing technology. On this basis, we define our own testing criteria to ensure that the raw materials used meet the requirements for baby food.
Only raw materials that pass these tests are processed and carry the HiPP organic seal.
In this way, we ensure consistent composition based on transparent processes and clearly defined testing steps.
For us, “the best from nature” means using organic raw ingredients that are produced in accordance with the statutory requirements of the EU Organic Regulation and independent inspections.
“The best for nature” does not describe a general environmental benefit, but only refers to the advantages of organic farming. By avoiding synthetic chemical pesticides and artificial fertilisers, negative impacts on soil, water, and air are reduced, meaning nature is less severely affected as a result. The actual environmental impact of a product also depends on additional factors such as transport, processing, and packaging.
