1. Data protection terms for Internet offers

The HiPP Group takes the protection of personal data very seriously. By the term "personal data" one understands name, address, and postal address, as well as phone number and email address amongst other items.

Your data will only be compiled, processed and used according to the terms of the German federal data protection laws (BDSG) and the European data protection terms. In no case will personal data be sold, loaned or delivered without authority to third parties.

In order to protect and preserve the confidentiality of your personal data, authorised employees internal to the HiPP Group have access to your data. For this, all Hipp employees are obliged to comply with all German and European data protection terms insofar as these are applicable. Likewise contracts for assignments that involve data handling are completed with service providers in case they are required to access such data at the HiPP Group's request. With this, the service provider, together with its similarly obligated employees, secure a guarantee for the protection of the confidentiality of the personal data as well as the protection of the personal data itself. Furthermore, the HiPP Group has installed a secure IT environment and is also taking all corresponding measures to ensure the safe handling of its data and the prevention of unauthorised access or misuse.

In order to always improve our offerings to you, as well as for marketing and optimisation reasons, we capture statistical data about the use of our Internet offers (etracker and Google). For this reason usage data is collected and stored using corresponding statistical technologies. Pseudonymous user profiles are created out of this data and cookies may be deployed. Cookies are small text data files which are stored in intermediate memory of the page visitor's Internet browser. Cookies make it possible to recognise the Internet browser. The compiled data are not used to personally identify the visitor to the website and no association is made with the personal data associated with the pseudonym. Changes to the website in connection with the future development of offers may lead to corresponding changes in the data protection terms, whose most recent status will always be visible online. You should therefore regularly keep yourself informed of changes to the data protection terms. If you have provided us with personal data you can have the data deleted at any time. Raising and maintaining personal data:

You can visit our website without our requiring any personal data from you. Use and dissemination of personal data and appropriation:

All personal data gathered in connection with our direct Internet services will only be raised, processed and used, in accordance with the then valid regulations regarding the protection of personal data, for the fulfilment of contractual obligations and for ensuring our own legitimate business interests with regard to advising and supporting our customers and with regard to necessary product development.

Disclosure rights and public operational statement:

Upon demand we will disclose to you in writing, in accordance with the then valid law, whether we have data stored about you, and if so what personal data we have stored about you. In our public operational statement we have collected the details of §4e BDSG.

Security:

We have installed technical and organisational safeguards, in order to protect the data you gave us to use from accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss, damage or access by unauthorised people. Our security measures are continually improved in line with technical developments. If you have any questions concerning the processing of your personal data, you can directly address our data protection officer who, along with his team, is ready to answer them together with any requests for information or complaints.

Public operational statement

The German federal data protection laws (BDSG) oblige the authorised data protection officer in § 4g to conveniently make available to everybody the following statements according to § 4e:

Customer data, employee data, supplier data insofar as they affect the purposes shown under 4. above.
Upon request we will gladly tell you in what connection your data is stored and what data is involved.

6. Recipients or categories of recipients who may receive the data: 
Authorities in case of mandatory statutory provisions, external suppliers under §11 of the BDSG as well as external positions and internal departments of HiPP to fulfil the purposes shown under 4. above

7. Notice periods for the deletion of the data: 
The legislative authority has issued varied safe-keeping obligations and notice periods. When these periods have passed the respective data are routinely deleted. Insofar as data is unaffected by such obligations then it is deleted when it is no longer required for the purposes stated in 4. above. 

8. Planned data transmissions to third countries: 
Transmission of data to third countries is only foreseen in the context of national and international legal requirements.
